Beyond the stage. Into a world of creativity, expression and discovery.

Learning goes beyond the classroom, opening doors to experiences that inspire our pupils to see the world from new perspectives.

Our pupils recently visited the Damansara Performing Arts Centre (DPAC), where they experienced the magic of live theatre, explored the venue, met performers, and even had the opportunity to take part in the show themselves!

From watching a live performance to discovering the people and processes behind it, the visit offered a valuable insight into the world of the performing arts. Our pupils saw first-hand how creativity, collaboration, preparation and confidence come together to bring a performance to life.

Experiences like these encourage pupils to look beyond the finished product, ask questions, explore new interests and appreciate the dedication behind every performance. Stepping into an unfamiliar environment and participating in something new also gives them opportunities to build confidence, express themselves and discover abilities they may not yet have realised they possess.

Because learning isn't just about what pupils know. It's also about what they experience, what they discover, and how those moments shape the people they become.

A world of possibilities awaits beyond the classroom.

Big ideas. Bold thinking. Real-world learning. 🦈💡

At Reigate Grammar School Kuala Lumpur, learning goes beyond the classroom. It means giving our pupils the opportunity to take an idea, turn it into something tangible, and discover what it takes to bring it to life.

In our Shark Tank challenge, pupils stepped into the world of entrepreneurship, presenting their own products to a panel of teacher-investors, making their case, responding to questions, and thinking on their feet.

But the most valuable learning didn't stop when the presentations ended.

We spoke to some of our pupils afterwards to hear how they thought they performed, what surprised them, the challenges they encountered, and what they would take away from the experience. Their reflections revealed another important part of learning: the willingness to recognise what went well, learn from what didn't, and consider how to improve.

Because developing confident, capable young people takes more than teaching them the right answers. It means creating opportunities for them to think creatively, question assumptions, solve problems, adapt to challenges, and learn from experience.

These are the moments when curiosity becomes action, ideas meet reality, and resilience begins to grow.

At RGSKL, we want our pupils to leave the classroom with more than knowledge. We want them to have the confidence to explore possibilities, the courage to test their ideas, and the resourcefulness to keep going when things don't go to plan.

Because the next big idea could begin with a question, a challenge, or simply the courage to try. 🌱

An extraordinary moment for a school in its inaugural year.

From our classrooms to the opening stage of the 7th British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards 2026.

We had the tremendous honour of seeing our Reigate Grammar School Kuala Lumpur pupils open this prestigious evening with performances of Negaraku and God Save the King, accompanied by our talented young instrumentalists.

Performing before more than 500 distinguished guests from the British and Malaysian business communities, our pupils demonstrated the confidence, composure and sense of occasion that we work to nurture every day.

The evening carried even greater meaning for RGSKL as we celebrated being shortlisted for the K12 Excellence Award 2026 during our inaugural year.

For a school still writing its opening chapter, this recognition means a great deal. It reflects the ambition behind our vision and the community of pupils, parents, educators and partners helping us bring that vision to life.

Our heartfelt thanks to our wonderful choir, instrumentalists and Music Department for representing the school so beautifully.

We also extend our appreciation to the @bmccmalaysia British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (BMCC) for this opportunity and for bringing together organisations contributing to the future of education, business and UK-Malaysia relations.

Every match is an opportunity to learn, every challenge a chance to grow, and every medal a reminder of the hard work behind the result.

Four Houses. Four voices. One unforgettable showdown.

The House Chant Competition brought our students together for an afternoon of creativity, energy and plenty of house spirit!

From writing their own chants to performing a song in front of the judges, our students put their teamwork, confidence and creativity on full display as they battled it out for the top spot.

A huge thank you to our judges, Mr Phillip, Principal, Ms Louisa, Head of Sixth Form, and special guest Mr Gregory Ramanado @gregramanado , Malaysian singer, for joining us and helping make the competition such a memorable experience.

A huge well done to Jebat, Lekir and Tuah too. Every house brought their own energy, creativity and personality to the stage, and we loved seeing the spirit of competition come alive.

Sometimes, you just need to look a little closer.

Our Photo of the Week series continues with Week 2: Macro Magic.

This week, our student photographers were challenged to explore depth of field and master their focusing techniques, revealing the details and beauty hidden in the world around us.

Our Week 2 winner, Donald Clifford, captured Striped Barbados Lily during a holiday in Bicol, the Philippines, using a Canon EOS R7.

For Donald, photography is about more than capturing a beautiful image. It is about taking the time to notice what is already around us.

“Take your time looking closely at any sort of flower, whenever you can. It will give you a sense of deeper appreciation, happiness and peace.”

A beautiful reminder that sometimes, slowing down and looking a little closer can change the way we see the world.

Kindness begins with the little things we do for others.

To mark International Day of Non-Violence, our Year 1B pupils explored the values of kindness, respect and gratitude through a special Moral Education lesson in English.

The children put their thoughts into action by creating thank-you cards for our school guards and delivering lunch to show their appreciation for all that they do to keep our school community safe and cared for.

It was a simple gesture, but one with a meaningful message: creating a kinder world begins with how we treat the people around us.

We are so proud of our Year 1B pupils for showing that even the smallest acts of kindness can make someone’s day a little brighter. 🌱
