From discovering new worlds to encountering new ideas, reading gives children the space to imagine, question, and see the world from different perspectives.

Because sometimes, all it takes is a good book and a little curiosity to begin something much bigger.

We are delighted to welcome Neil Clayton to Reigate Grammar School Kuala Lumpur as our new Senior Vice Principal.

Neil brings more than 20 years in education across the UK and Asia, including five years as Headmaster of Harrow International School Nanning and, most recently, Senior Deputy Head at Harrow Shanghai.

His experience brings real depth to RGSKL, alongside a belief that exceptional education should combine ambition and rigour with care, ensuring every child feels known, supported and encouraged to grow in confidence.

Learning beyond borders. 🌏

Our pupils recently took part in an enriching ASEAN exchange programme in Indonesia, where learning extended far beyond the classroom.

From engaging in a Youth Dialogue at the ASEAN Secretariat to exploring Indonesian heritage through batik, traditional music, and cultural experiences, pupils gained a deeper understanding of the region and the communities that shape it.

Their journey also took them into nature, exploring biodiversity, conservation, mangrove restoration, and sustainable practices alongside local communities.

But perhaps the most meaningful learning happened between the activities: the conversations, shared laughter, new friendships, and connections built across cultures.

Because when young people experience the world firsthand, they don't simply learn about different cultures. They learn to understand them, respect them, and find common ground.

That is learning that stays with you.
