Modern Foreign Languages
Language learning at RGSKL opens doors to global opportunities. Mandarin is introduced from the start of a child’s journey in the Early Years, with engaging lessons that use songs, games, and topic-based activities to build fluency.
From Year 3, students also begin French, giving them the opportunity to study a second foreign language before moving into Senior School. Our immersive approach build both skill and enjoyment, helping students develop the confidence to communicate across cultures.

Learning for Life
At RGSKL, our Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE) programme equips students with the knowledge, skills, and understanding they need to lead confident, healthy, and independent lives. We encourage children to think critically about the choices they make, helping them to develop resilience and the confidence to make good decisions, even in the face of peer pressure or external expectations.
Students take part in weekly PSHE sessions, taught through thematic units and reinforced during assemblies. These lessons provide a safe space for discussion and reflection on important topics such as relationships, personal safety, and healthy lifestyles.
Through this approach, we nurture holistic development and wellbeing, ensuring that students grow into thoughtful, responsible, and well-rounded young people who are prepared for the opportunities and challenges of life.
