Presentation Skills
In Year 9, students master the art of effective communication through our bespoke Presentation Skills course. They learn how to craft impactful speeches, drawing inspiration from history’s greatest orators. students analyse iconic speeches, explore the power of language, and refine delivery techniques.
Through practice in posture, breathing, and voice modulation, students gain confidence and poise as public speakers. These lessons empower them to express themselves persuasively and with clarity an essential skill for life at school, university, and in professional careers.

Artificial Intelligence
We also prepare students to engage with the technologies shaping their future. In Year 9, our Artificial Intelligence course introduces students to the workings, applications, and challenges of AI. They explore how machine learning models function, their benefits in everyday life, and their potential to transform society.
The programme balances practical understanding with ethical reflection. students investigate issues such as bias in data, the impact of AI in the workplace, the risks of deepfake technologies, and the consequences of over-reliance on AI systems. By combining technical insights with critical discussion, we equip students with the knowledge, discernment, and responsibility to navigate the opportunities and challenges of the digital age.
GCSE / IGCSE
At RGSKL, students begin their two-year IGCSE journey in Year 10 at the age of 14. The General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE/IGCSE) is an internationally recognised qualification that forms a key part of the British curriculum. It provides students with strong academic foundations for future
A-Level or Sixth Form study, as well as university applications and career pathways. Students typically study ten subjects, balancing core academic disciplines with opportunities to pursue individual interests. The programme includes:
6 core subjects
1 compulsory language
3 optional subjects
This structure allows every student to build a broad and balanced curriculum, while also tailoring their studies to their strengths and future aspirations.
